Figure 5.  Left: A 1¢ green Franklin head, perf. 12, in Ronsonol®.  The stamp can have either a double line watermark (Scott #331) or a single line watermark (Scott #374).  A part of a double line S appears at lower right and above that there is the loop of a double line U.

Right: The same stamp in clarityTM.  Both fluids are adequate for detecting this relatively easy-to-find watermark.
