The stamp was used to pay the tax on products sold by the company, and the stamps were generally affixed to the products sold. The dies and plates were controlled by the <#bep=BEP>. The categories of products that required these stamps were: medicines (<#scott=Scott> RS), matches (<#scott=Scott> RO), perfumes and cosmetics (<#scott=Scott> RT), playing cards (<#scott=Scott> RU) and canned goods (<#scott=Scott> RP).
